Are You Part of the 90% of Small Business Owners Engaged in Social Networking?

A national survey of 600 small business owners reveals that 90% are actively involved in social networking sites like Facebook. Almost half of these small business owners believe 25% of their new customers were a direct result of social networking sites. There’s no if, ands, or buts about it…your business needs to have a strong presence in social media to reach and connect with customers.

Conversely, 58% of small businesses either have a Facebook page and don’t think it’s valuable, or don’t have one at all.

Take a look at the infographic below, provided by small business community site Manta, to see what we’re talking about.

After looking over this infographic, it’s clear that social networking isn’t going anywhere. The survey indicates that 58% of small business owners have difficulty with promoting their Facebook page, if they’ve even created one at all.
